It almost seems as if the Evan Fournier era in New York will never end. After signing a four-year deal with the Knicks, Fournier was disappointing in his first two seasons. After several rumors over the years stated that Fournier could be traded as soon as last offseason, it now seems like he could be around for ANOTHER year.

Fournier has made several comments aimed toward both the Knicks and Tom Thibodeau that make it very clear that he wants to be traded to a new team. Considering how his comments have angered fans, it’s pretty clear that a move will be made soon.

Logically, it doesn’t make sense that Fournier hasn’t been traded yet. His value has done nothing but dwindle, and Rose has done nothing but watch it happen. With how things are looking now, it seems like Fournier’s chances of being traded are the highest they’ve ever been.

The Knicks definitely won’t receive much value in return for Fournier. However, they have to trade him at this point. Whether they use his contract for salary filler or ship him off for nothing to a team looking for more cap space in the 2024 offseason, Fournier simply has to go.
