Knicks vs. Pacers prediction and odds for Wednesday, April 5 (Back shorthanded Knicks)

The New York Knicks have clinched the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, setting up a matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs this season.

Still, the team has to close out the regular season, starting with Wednesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers.

New York is 2-0 against the Pacers so far this season, but it won’t have Julius Randle or Jalen Brunson in this game.

On the Pacers side, Tyrese Haliburton, Chris Duarte and Myles Turner are all listed as out. With Indiana eliminated from playoff contention, should bettors trust the Knicks tonight?

Even with Brunson and Randle out, I think the Knicks are the team to back on Wednesday.

The Pacers are downright awful without Haliburton, going 6-17 straight up in the 23 games he’s missed this season.

Not only that, but New York has been elite on the road this season.

Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin and others will likely see extended run tonight, but the Knciks’ bench is stronger than the Pacers bench so far this season.

New York is a league best 8-3 against the spread as a road favorite, and I don’t expect that to change against a shorthanded Pacers team tonight.
