Sixers vs. Knicks prediction and odds for Sunday, February 5 (Value on total)

The red hot Philadelphia 76ers travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the Knicks on Sunday night.

Philly has been on a tear, winners of 22 of their last 27 games to improve to third in the Eastern Conference and just two back of the No. 1 seed. Meanwhile, the Knicks are jockeying for position in the crowded middle of the conference, currently in seventh place.

New York is off a heart breaking loss in overtime the Clippers on Saturday night, can they recover quickly and compete against the hottest team in the league?

Here are the odds for this one:

Sixers vs. Knicks odds, spread and total

Sixers vs. Knicks prediction and pick

The Sixers are a well balanced team around MVP candidate Joel Embiid, but lately the defense has fallen off. Over the team’s last five games, Philadelphia is 22nd in points allowed per 100 possessions which has been mitigated due to their fantastic offense, third best in the league in the moment. Overall the team is more than four points better per 100 possessions.

The Knicks have had similar splits to the Sixers, 11th on offense and 27th on defense.

With two teams that are struggling to get stops but scoring at a high level, I’m looking at the over in this game. The Knicks will struggle to stop Embiid, who is leading the NBA in scoring at over 33 points per game, but also Jalen Brunson and the New York offense will continue their fine play as well.
