Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley shines in Baltimore’s Brunson League

It’s no secret that young New York Knicks star Immanuel Quickley lives and breathes basketball, as he has been all over social media this offseason traveling around the world while continuing to put work in.

If anyone doubts his talent and work ethic, all they need to do is look to the videos circulating all over Twitter of Quickley’s recent appearance in the Brunson League, where the young guard looked absolutely dominant.

Sure, it’s unlikely that anyone else in the game will make it to the NBA level, or if they do, play well at the next level, but it’s always encouraging to see young guys working hard in the offseason, especially if they’re putting game time situations into practice.

Given the improvement, it’s likely that we will see Quick’s role expand in 2022-23, and if we can see more confidence, playmaking, and finishing at the rim, it’s definitely possible that he could turn into the Knicks’ starting two guard, or morph into a potential Sixth Man of the Year.

This also shows that Quick can play above the rim, and if he can add that to his game this season and shoot consistently, the Knicks may head into the upcoming season with one of, if not the best bench in the entire NBA.

Quickley has been one of the most promising players in the Knicks organization since he was drafted back in 2020. After improving over his first two NBA seasons, many within New York’s organization expect him to take a huge leap with an expanded role in 2022-23.

These videos ultimately may not mean much, but for a fanbase starving for a winner and some young players to shine on the big stage, this, along with the team’s success at Summer League, will definitely get them excited for next season.
