Is Jaylen Brown playing tonight? Latest update for Knicks vs Celtics, February 27

It’s been a little over a month since the New York Knicks knocked off the Celtics in a 120-117 overtime win behind Julius Randle’s 37 points. Boston will return to the Garden on Monday night for another Atlantic Division showdown, but the team will be without one of their key players.

Jaylen Brown suffered a facial fracture earlier this month that put his All-Star Game status in jeopardy, but that’s when he debuted the new black face mask that he’ll be wearing for the next month or so. In his return to the lineup after the break, Brown finished with 30 points and 11 rebounds in a 142-138 overtime win against the Pacers.

Brown has played in both of the Celtics’ games since returning from the break, but he won’t be playing on Monday when the Knicks look to secure their sixth-straight win.

Jaylen Brown’s status tonight vs Knicks

Jaylen Brown, who was at risk of missing the All-Star Game with a facial fracture, will be out against New York for personal reasons. He played in Boston’s first two games back after the break, most recently scoring 26 points in the team’s win over Philadelphia on Saturday.
