Breaking down how the New York Knicks were able to secure a victory.

The New York Knicks came out on top of their second summer league game against the Indiana Pacers by the score of 94-86, bringing them to a record of 1-1 in exhibition play.

After a disappointing loss to kick off the festivities on Sunday evening, it was impressive to see the group bounce back and record a win less than 24 hours later.

After trailing by as many as 8 points in the first quarter, the Knicks went on an 18-5 run in the third to grab a lead that they wouldn’t relinquish for the rest of the afternoon. With the rotation containing at least six players who’ll be on the team’s opening night roster, a win is an extremely positive sign.

Summer league has always been more about individual performances instead of team success, so it’s also great to see that multiple pieces of the team’s future were able to showcase their skills.

As the squad begins to enter the halfway point of their brief summer league season, some players have separated themselves from the others due to a variety of impressive NBA-ready skills. Rookies, sophomores, and some veterans were all able to make an impact on the team’s first August win.

Here are the top 3 takeaways.
