This trade would help kickstart the Bulls’ seemingly necessary rebuild by giving them a potential star player in Barrett alongside an intriguing player and picks. Barrett could use a fresh start, and sending him to Chicago, where he could potentially be their building block piece, may do wonders for his career.

Bringing in an elite offensive player like LaVine would do wonders for the Knicks. His ability as a three-level scorer while also being a solid point-of-attack defender would be a much-needed upgrade at the two or three depending on where the Knicks opt to play him. Alongside this, Caruso would add some much-needed defensive prowess off the bench alongside another elite defensive guard in Immanuel Quickley.
