Knicks vs. Pistons prediction and odds for Sunday, January 15 (Knicks should roll)

The New York Knicks take on the Detroit Pistons for the fourth time this season as they look to build their lead on the No. 6 seed in the East.

New York is coming off a win over the Washington Wizards on Friday night, and it’s moved to eighth in the NBA in net rating this season.

Jalen Brunson, who looks like a surefire All-Star, has been terrific all season long, but he’s taken things to another level as of late.

The Pistons are the No. 14 seed in the Eastern Conference right now, and they won’t have Jalen Duren in this game. Bojan Bogdanovic, the team’s leading scorer, is also listed as questionable.

Here’s how I’m betting on this game:

Knicks vs. Pistons prediction odds, spread and total

Knicks vs. Pistons prediction prediction and pick

I actually jumped on the Knicks early in this one with the spread at -6.5, but I still like them to cover this number as 7.5-point favorites.

New York has absolutely crushed Detroit this season, winning by 24, nine and 30 points in the first three matchups between these teams.

Not only that, but the Knicks are the best road team to bet on in the NBA, going 15-6 against the spread so far this season.

The Pistons have all sorts of problems on both ends, ranking 24th in offensive rating and 29th in defensive rating this season.

Since Tom Thibodeau changed his rotation to focus more on the defensive end, the Knicks have quietly been one of the best teams in the NBA.

I think they keep that rolling against a bad Pistons team on Sunday.
