Hornets vs. Knicks prediction and odds for Tuesday, March 7 (Does the streak live?)

There isn’t a team in the NBA hotter than the New York Knicks, who have won nine straight games heading into a home date with the Charlotte Hornets.

This may be the ultimate trap game for the Knicks, who are favored by 10 points against a Hornets team that is without LaMelo Ball and has lost three straight games by double digits.

The Knicks have a big weekend coming up with game against the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, but they need to take care of business against the Hornets tonight.

Charlotte has struggled as a road underdog, going 6-24 straight up and 13-15-2 against the spread.

However, the Knicks’ struggles at Madison Square Garden (at times) have been well documented. The team is just 15-16-3 against the spread at MSG this season.

Can we trust the Knicks to win and cover on Tuesday? First, let’s look at the latest odds:

Hornets vs. Knicks prediction and pick

This may be a game for bettors to wait and see before taking the Knicks since guard Jalen Brunson (foot) is listed as questionable.

However, if he’s ruled in, bettors may have to lay even more than 10 points. It’s a tricky spot to be in.

That being said, I don’t see the Hornets keeping up with the Knicks with Ball done for the season.

Charlotte ranks dead last in the NBA in offensive rating this season, meanwhile the Knicks have moved all the way to sixth in the NBA in that metric.

That may take a little hit without Brunson, but Immanuel Quickley was terrific in place of him on Sunday against Boston.

The Hornets have lost three straight by double digits, and I don’t expect a Tom Thibodeau-led team to take its foot off the gas on this winning streak.
