3. Feron Hunt

The Knicks signed Feron Hunt at the end of the 2021-22 season. The six-foot-eight forward went undrafted in 2021. He went on to play for the Dallas Mavericks with their Summer League team. Although he signed contracts with the Mavericks and the New Orleans Pelicans, he never played for those franchises.

After signing with the Knickerbockers in March, Hunt has only seen the floor twice for a total of nine minutes.

Coming out of college, according to scouts, Hunt’s biggest upside was his defensive abilities. He can guard multiple positions, making it hard for smaller guards to shoot over him. His athleticism was also brought up by scouts as his energy can be a spark to a team. I think that Thibs will appreciate Hunt, especially on the defensive end. If he displays this during training camp and into the preseason, he may be able to secure some minutes opening night.
